Sensible City Cleantech Spring Internship

We apply systems thinking to traditionally linear campaigns, are mindful in all that we do, break rules, measure results and continuously improve. We love helping people come together around transformative projects, products and ideas.

What we have to offer: We offer internship programs designed specifically
to cultivate skills and gain experience necessary to begin or continue a
career in communications. These internships can be completed for academic
credit if your marketing, community affairs, and/or digital media department
has a program in place for such. We offer hands on experience and the ability to see a project through from beginning to end.

As an intern you will be paired with a team member who will serve as your
mentor throughout the internship and be available beyond the term of employment.
You will become familiar with the necessary components of our office to understand the complete process we undertake for each client.

An internship at Sensible City provides the opportunity to join in the conversation, take part in team brainstorming sessions, and apply your creativity to the process.

Our internships are based on client projects and upon positive completion will provide letters of recommendation from the CEO/President/Director of the client company as well as Sensible City’s president.

Additional Info: 

The Cleantech Open finds, funds, and fosters young and innovative clean tech
companies. This internship provides an opportunity to participate in event
outreach, social media, and general PR so that you can see every aspect of
communications for this particular client.

Requirements: We want to give you a robust and unique opportunity. In
order to make the most of this process you need to be prepared with the
following:
-Ability and willingness to work 16 hours per week in our office on a regular
schedule.
- Familiarity with all Microsoft office programs
- Proven time management skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to conduct internet research
- Ability to use or rapidly learn wordpress, facebook, linkedin, twitter and
digg

Challenges: An independent, can-do attitude and ability to lead a project
to completion is expected of all Sensible City interns. You will be expected
to:
- Be accountable at all times.
- Identify all options and solutions to project obstacles.
- Communicate with all levels of society and influence.

Conduct research, filter media lists, assist with the drafting of press
releases and media advisories, support media events, archive broadcast media
clips and offer general assistance. This is an opportunity to work with
several clients alongside our media coordinator.

Working Mother Magazine - Lifestyle Internship

Bio: 

Do you get your kicks finding the perfect sandal before anyone else does? Have you always wanted to work with fashion, beauty and lifestyle products? Working Mother magazine has an excellent opportunity for a smart, stylish, organized and on-the-ball lifestyle intern. Duties include working closely with our lifestyle editor, calling in products (some children's products), scoping out new fashion accessories and beauty products, working with vendors, writing buyer's guide info, going to trade shows and helping set up photo shoots.

Internship Description: 

Must have a pleasant phone manner, be comfortable with computers and able to work autonomously.

Position starts in early-mid August, depending upon your availability.
Schedule is flexible, but we prefer at least 2-3 full days/week. Position is unpaid, but we'll make sure you get great experience!

Yari Film Group

Bio: 

Newly formed Television Division of Yari Film Group (Crash, The Illusionist) seeks unpaid interns to start immediately. Great opportunity to learn in a fast-paced, intimate environment and be a part of something from the ground level. Company in active development on numerous scripted and reality projects. Applicants must be personable, have good phone manner, and be able to commit to two days a week minimum.

Yoga Journal

Bio: 

YOGA JOURNAL is the best-selling yoga magazine in the coutry; it has been named Best Health and Fitness magazine for five consecutive years by the Western Publications Association. YOGA JOURNAL is published by Active Interest Media.

Internship Description: 

As the YJ Web Intern, you will assist the Web editor with gathering content for email newsletters, write subtitles for articles, put articles in HTML format, answer reader emails, and perform some administrative duties.

Additional Info: 

Would love a student studying journalism or a related field with strong writing and editing skills. Previous experience at an online publication is preferred. HTML and CSS knowledge is a plus. Scheduling is flexible, but the intern must be available two days per week. A three-month time commitment is required.

Working Mother Magazine - Editorial Internship

Bio: 

Working Mother magazine has an excellent opportunity for a few smart, talented and on-the-ball editorial interns this fall. Duties include working closely with editors, reporting, researching, sniffing out story leads, fact checking, working on special projects and some administrative assistance. We're a small staff so you'll get the chance to really be part of the team. In this market it's all about experience and this is a great start.

Wonderland Sound and Vision Internship (WE ARE MARSHALL, CHARLIES ANGELS)

Bio: 

We are a West Hollywood based production company specializing in both film and television, headed by director/producer McG (Director: WE ARE MARSHALL, CHARLIE'S ANGELS and TERMINATOR: SALVATION). We currently produce the television shows CHUCK, SUPERNATURAL and HUMAN TARGET. We are further developing other projects in film, television, and new media.

Internship Description: 

Applicants should be entering their Junior or Senior year of college with a vested interest in film and television development and production. Applicants should be motivated, enthusiastic and hard-working individuals who understand the importance of team work in an office setting. Interns will be responsible for performing general office duties, assisting in the development of projects, performing script coverage, and any other necessary tasks. This is an unpaid internship so all applicants must be eligible to receive college credit.

Easy going, Marketing minded, and creative thinking PHP and SQL developer required to complete work on an existing website and develop the Shopping Cart and integrate with the existing CMS. This is a fashion and celebrity style related fashion website.

WET Productions (Non-Profit) Internship

Acclaimed Non Profit Organization, WET Productions, is currently reviewing submissions for Fall Interns. Seeking dynamic, committed individuals who have experience or are interested in: Non-Profit Management and Development, Arts Administration, Youth Development & Education Programs.

WAM Films Internship

Bio: 

Successful production company with studio deal seeks Fall intern wishing to make inroads into the business. Work is great training for an assistant position, including scheduling, submissions, light phones, as well as research assignments and script reading/input.

Internship Description: 

Much of the company’s slate involves remakes of European films, so a European background (especially proficiency in French) is a bonus, though not necessary to apply. Position is unpaid, hours flexible.
