Bio: 

Betsy Mullinix, Associate Sittings Editor for Seventeen Magazine, needs interns. Availability must be at least 2-3 days a week; full time would be appreciated. Apply if you are dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic. Hours are usually 10-6.

Responsibilities
Working on photo shoots assisting Betsy in dressing the models and recording clothing, and help with styling. Be creative. Since Seventeen uses Real Girls for the shoots, it is important to make the girls feel comfortable.

Must be able to work in a fast placed environment, be smart, think on your feet, be organized, have a “can do” attitude, and help on set during weekend shoots.

Seventeen Magazine Fall Internship

Seventeen Magazine is one of the leading magazine for teenage girls, median age of 14. The magazine is owned by Hearst Corporation. The magazine highlights fashion, beauty, celebrity, health, and real life stories.

Additional Info: 

Interns assist Betsy Mullinix, on photo shoots in tasks ranging dressing the models, recording clothing, and styling. Since Seventeen uses Real Girls for the shoots, it is important to make the girls comfortable.

Daily tasks include castings, photo shoots, styling, fittings, and sitting sheets. It’s an unpaid internship but a great opportunity to experience one of the busiest, most successful magazines in the industry.

High-end lingerie and women’s apparel designer, Cosabella, is looking for a highly motivated and creative Summer Fashion Marketing Intern. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in business, fashion, communications, marketing or public relations and should have a strong interest in gaining sales and marketing experience in the fashion industry.

The Fashion Marketing Intern will be assisting the Cosabella Marketing and Sales Team with their product development and brand awareness. The students will also have a chance to visit with other departments such as design, production, ecom and customer service as they relate to marketing and sales initiatives. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop a clear understanding of the Cosabella product and company history through a series of training activities.
  • Assist with the development of a marketing plan and brand awareness strategy for a specific Cosabella product or product line
  • Identify and help to develop posts on blogs and social networking sites
  • Identify market competition, competitor price points, and competitor strategies for marketing similar items
  • Assist with and attend promotional events, fashion shows and community events as necessary
  • Develop and grow business partnerships as they relate to specific products

Marie Claire Magazine is currently seeking interns for Summer/Fall 2010 in its advertising department. Interns will support current assistant and the Southwest advertising director. Fashion Magazine Editorial Internship

Bio: 

FASHION Magazine offers three amd four month unpaid internships
in seven departments: editorial, fashion, beauty, photo, marketing,design
and sales. Interns work Mondays to Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, except in the
Vancouver office. Although the bulk of the work is administrative, interns
gain valuable career experience in return for their efforts and are invited to
sit in on editorial meetings.

A keen interest in magazines is essential. All interns should be detailoriented
and organized, with strong written and verbal communication
skills, and the ability to juggle multiple demands and meet deadlines.
Experience dealing with public relations people and a good phone
manner are assets.

Handmedowns.com is a new craigslist competitor. It is a start-up company that was founded by two entrepreneurial women. It launched a week ago and was covered in Daily Candy Kids and received fantastic reviews on industry blogs.

It is a classifieds site for parents where users can buy, sell, give away or donate new and gently used baby gear, clothing, toys and more. We pull listings from around the web and combine them with our own listings.

Internship Description: 

The intern will be responsible for publicity and community building of the site on the internet (facebook, craigslist, local parenting blogs etc.). She/he will work directly with the founders and our pr company. The intern can work locally in LA or virtually.
