Jinks/ Cohen is a small co. with great credits-- AMERICAN BEAUTY, for which
Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen won a Best Picture Oscar, BIG FISH, etc. Just
wrapped Gus Van Sant's movie MILK with Sean Penn and are in production on
season 2 of PUSHING DAISIES here on the Warners lot, where we have a TV
deal.

This internship supports the Dan Jinks Company and Bruce Cohen Productions in feature films, and The Jinks/ Cohen Co. in television. Duties are the usual admin tasks as well as supporting the Dan Jinks Co. VP with phones and scheduling, thus you'd come out of the gig ready to go to an agency or development desk. Since we’re a small staff we require a lot of reading, and want and need your opinion on material and potential new projects. Previous interns have gone on directly to work at CAA, WME, Mark Gordon Co., and many other companies. Dan and Bruce produced MILK, AMERICAN BEAUTY, BIG FISH and the ABC series PUSHING DAISIES, among other projects, and are actively developing new feature films and series. Bruce is also producing this year’s Academy Awards.. Offices are on the Warner Brothers lot.

Participant Media Development Internship

Bio: 

Participant Media is seeking students interested in learning the inner workings of our feature film division and multimedia company. The internship offers the unique opportunity to work closely with both the office of the President and feature film staff. Interns will not only assist in the daily activities and duties of the President's office, but they will also actively aid the development process by conducting issue-based research, reviewing submitted material, and completing comprehensive script coverage. Interns will gain practical experience and advice in how to succeed in the entertainment industry… the real world lessons that can’t be learned in a classroom. We are seeking a student who demonstrates an enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to get involved in our company and our causes. We ask that all interns be receiving school credit.

Bio: 

Betsy Mullinix, Associate Sittings Editor for Seventeen Magazine, needs interns. Availability must be at least 2-3 days a week; full time would be appreciated. Apply if you are dedicated, hardworking, and enthusiastic. Hours are usually 10-6.

Responsibilities
Working on photo shoots assisting Betsy in dressing the models and recording clothing, and help with styling. Be creative. Since Seventeen uses Real Girls for the shoots, it is important to make the girls feel comfortable.

WET Productions Film Development Internship

Bio: 

Acclaimed Non Profit Organization, WET Productions, is currently reviewing submissions for Film Development Internships. This is an extremely rewarding internship opportunity that requires excellent phone, writing, communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: participating in all aspects of film development; including screenplay coverage, research, events, contacting agents, assisting the Executive Producer and Director of Film Development in daily activites. Internships at WET provide individuals with valuable hands-on experience and training and, if merited, offer recommendations, support and guidance in seeking further employment following the internship.

WET FILMS: Inspired by the mentoring system that supported the work of Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorcese, Brian DePalma, George Lucas and Robert DeNiro, WET will work with women writers to develop screenplays, providing notes, work sessions, casting, readings (public and private) and to move scripts from development to production. WET FILMS launched in 2010, and is run by WET’s Executive Producer and Creative Director Sasha Eden (NY), and Director of Film Development, Jordana Mollick (LA)

Gimme Mo' Productions

Bio: 

GimmeMo' is a celebrity hosted online talk show launching in September of 2010. GimmeMo's intention is to start a Mo'vement that empowers today's youth. The show will be facilitating safe conversation about real issues, bringing awareness to organizations that are serving teens, & conducting celebrity interviews. Each webisode will be approximately 10 minutes long and center around topics relating to teens. GimmeMo' recognizes that the youth are constantly on the web, so GimmeMo' wants to meet them where they are and give teens easy access to cutting edge positive content delivered in an entertaining fashion.

Additional Info: 

Production intern must be web savvy and have knowledge of all social networking sites, as well as have good telephone skills, excellent research skills, extreme organizational skills, must be comfortable working under deadline pressure and in a sometimes fast paced environment. Also, must be comfortable on-set, be pro-active and able to multi-task. Additionally, you must have an insured vehicle and be willing to run basic errands as well. Will pay for meals and reimburse expenses, otherwise this is a NON-PAID position. You must also be available to work 2-3 times a week and please know that some days will be long. We are already in production so please be prepared to hit the ground running.

Lastly, must live within 15 miles of West Hollywood, but we’ll make an exception for someone exceptional.

Bio: 

Seventeen Magazine is one of the leading magazine for teenage girls, median age of 14. The magazine is owned by Hearst Corporation. The magazine highlights fashion, beauty, celebrity, health, and real life stories.

Interns assist Betsy Mullinix, on photo shoots in tasks ranging dressing the models, recording clothing, and styling. Since Seventeen uses Real Girls for the shoots, it is important to make the girls comfortable.

Daily tasks include castings, photo shoots, styling, fittings, and sitting sheets. It’s an unpaid internship but a great opportunity to experience one of the busiest, most successful magazines in the industry.

The Gladstone Hotel Event Photography Internship

Bio: 

More than a hotel, The Gladstone is a social and cultural incubator facilitating sustainable and accessible ways of experiencing art, culture, community, and local cuisine. We host over 100 arts-related events each and every month and have 37 artist designed hotel rooms.

The Gladstone Hotel is looking for excited and over-enthusiastic event photographers who would like to become part of family. We can't pay you, but we can offer you exposure to the coolest art hotel and cultural incubator in the west end of the city, great references, an expanded portfolio, office experience, a relaxed work environment and the chance to work with a wicked team.

You love photography (so do we). You are someone who is willing to attend at least one of our cultural events a week. You are also a very social savvy person and are personable while shooting. Please know how to edit your photos and make them pretty in photoshop (or a related program). Please also know how to use Flickr. You will come in once a week for a 4 hour event and spend approximately 4 hours uploading and editing photos from home.

We can publish your photos to our websites, social media accounts and use them for any promotional material.
You will get photo credit, an expanded event photography portfolio, great references and the fabulous feeling of being involved in the arts and music scene in the west end. If you want, we can make you a fancy name tag so people know you are an 'official' Gladstone photographer. You can even wear it when you're not working. Please email with some previous work or a link to your web portfolio.

We are open and try to accommodate people with full time jobs.
